Marjorie Lacombe is an all-rounder in the creative arts who is based in San Diego California, this creative photographer and blogger has had her works featured in Buzzfeed and Huffington Post. She founded her blog, The Kipi Blog, in 2013. What is Kipi? It’s actually a nickname her Dad gave her when she was young, making the Kipi Blog very close to her heart. Lacombe is also a total wanderlust and has travelled around Europe and South America.
She recently started a new project called #FollowThatPinkCoat, her unifying theme as she travels across Paris, London, Geneva, and Prague capturing sites wearing a pink coat that she got from Asos. What I love about Lacombe’s work is the bright and happy colors that she incorporates in her photographs while still keeping it simple. Her instagram feed has pastel aesthetics that are bubbly and the photographs still manage to speak a lot about herself. In what she does, there’s always a sense of sentimentally and herness.
This is evident in her DIY projects where she does decor, accessories, food and clothing. I love her “Easy Sunset Wall Art” because it’s easy-to-do yet its simplicity is the highlight. With just six simple square boxes and pastel colors blended together smoothly creating an ombre. I love how Lacombe talked about her inspiration, “I immediately felt nostalgic for sunsets over the water, bonfires crackling into the pastel sky, and that giggly warm realization you have when you realize life is pretty darn beautiful.” Scrolling past Lacombe’s instagram feed and website will surely spice up your life and color it in pastel. From colorful candy-like buildings during her travel to adorable food photographs, it’ll leave you with a totally color squeeze experience.
Also, she’s actually a soon-to-be doctor! How much more talented can she get right?
