People from across the globe may have a different perspective on things, but art and raw talent never gets lost in translation. Here’s an artist, and her art exhibit, that’s worth taking note of!
Solenn Heussaff makes the most out of her many travels around many different countries, and she’s taken inspiration from the unique personalities she’s met along the way. “Our People” is her first solo art exhibit, and it also plays as a homage to her countless enriching experiences with the people she’s encountered in her trips.
Her formal painting lessons from ages 3-18 propelled her love for the arts, and she has since continued to hone her craft through the years. Today, she takes things up a notch by showcasing her first collection of 25 artworks – an exhibit that not only transports you to have an intimate glimpse of the various personalities hailing from Myanmar, Africa, or France, but it also conveys just how Solenn manages to share her personal takeaways through her signature style. The strong contrasting colors further highlight the strength and depth behind the people that go beyond being mere subjects, who instead acts as defined individuals that take on the identity of who we really are as a people.
Aside from Solenn’s paintings, the exhibit will also hold a preview of another collection of hers, in the medium of embroidered cowhide carpet. This is a teaser of her upcoming collaboration with Our Tribe, a Filipino company that’s made their mark in the production of quality leather goods. This further advances her collaborative efforts in the field of home and lifestyle products, as she has also worked with Philux to create a line of furniture. The exhibit launch will also feature a sneak peek into her upcoming fashion collection, in collaboration with Mia Arcenas, that’s set to be released within the year. You can expect to see select guests wearing the clothes that Solenn herself has designed and has adorned with the unique prints of her choice.
Definitely worth checking out, this debut exhibit of Filipina-French personality Solenn Heussaf can be viewed at Pineapple Lab from April 8 to May 8. Drop by!
We’re also proud to have worked with the artist herself as the Heim Interiors team designed and decorated her home. Check out these photos of her pad, and if interested in learning more about the design team and their projects, check out www.heiminteriors.com or www.instagram.com/heiminteriors!
