Whether it’s time to slow things down, or to keep on finding ways to progress our imagination, we constantly look for spaces that give us inspiration and spark the inner artist in us. Here are some cafes that you can visit around the metro that can be given kudos for their great interiors, where you can just chill, take Instagram worthy photos, and to keep not only the creative juices flowing but the drinks and scrumptious meals too!
1. Coffee Project
If you’re in the mood to simply relax in a garden type atmosphere, you’ll find that coffee project explores interiors that are industrial with a feminine touch! There are areas in the cafe when you will feel like you’re in an outdoor cafe, and as you look up, floral decorations are hanging above your head, even on the sides as there are more flowers on the shelves.
From the signage, to the brick wall, and even in the loo, you’ll see bikes around on display which adds to the outdoorsy vibe. For the coffee fanatics, every corner has witty sayings about how coffee fuels your day, and other words that can motivate you to re-energize. Another great thing about this place is the veranda at the back, located outside the coffee shop, where you can feel the breeze. You can grab a drink and talk for hours on the cushioned seats, wrapped with plants around the edges, and the bulb lights that look magical at night.

6. Another Story
This whimsical themed cafe in the south will make you feel like Alice in wonderland who fell in a rabbit hole to search for a drink and a bite. Ica Sebastian, the owner of another story, was inspired to put up another resto that is similar to Cafe Voila located in Crosswinds, Tagaytay. It’s also called another story because bits and pieces of Ica’s life story can be seen around the place through the different quotes and words on the ceiling and walls.
It’s such a vibrant spot, with lighted lamps, comfy sofas, colorful chairs and table displays, giving you that happy feeling as you enjoy their great food and ambiance. The area is spacious since they also have tables outside, so you’ll probably be able to get a spot especially if you’re a big crowd. There’s also a part in the entrance, where mirrors are hanging on a corner wall which goes with the storybook inspired design. Here, you can feel like you’re part of a story, and even be inspired to write one yourself!

Around BF Homes, there’s a Bingsu cafe, where you can have enough space to lounge around and grab your favorite book and cozy up in a room that looks like you’re in the outdoors. The brick walls and parts of the ceiling lamps are hugged by vines, giving off a rustic garden vibe. But don’t worry, it won’t be too hot for you because you can order shaved ice desserts to cool off. At the center, there’s a tree surrounded by hanging wooden cocoon-like chairs with lamps on tables which is perfect for that moment we’ve been asking for – a comfy place to nest in if we just want to read, to study, or to be swallowed up in our own thoughts of what if’s.

Animal lovers out there will surely be smitten with this Korean cafe in Makati, where you won’t feel so alone seeing there are stuffed animals inside to keep you company. As if you’re actually in a zoo, you can spot pandas and gorillas chilling on the wooden chairs, monkeys just hanging out, a tiger near the counter which seems to be checking out what you’re ordering, and a life sized giraffe that will welcome you at the entrance. There’s also a man-made tree, with snakes on the branches (but don’t worry they don’t bite!) and a wooden giraffe shaped stand where the tumblers are placed which look like it’s eating the leaves. It’s spacious, cozy, and a relaxing place to get a feel of what it’s like to be in the jungle but even better because you can get bingsu, drinks, and other desserts!

A chill hawaiian inspired cafe filled with ukeleles is a fun place to go if you’re looking for a spot to channel your creative and sound energy. Aside from the instruments on the wall, you can see lei’s, known as a necklace made out of a garland of Hawaiian flowers traditionally given as a way to welcome visitors. The tables and chairs are mostly made out of wood which goes with the natural look and feel of the nook. They also have bean bags in double-deck bunks if you want a more private area to chat, or to play music by bringing your own ukelele!
If you don’t have one, no worries, because you can rent one which costs P100 per hour. You can also enroll in their Sunday free tutorial if you’re interested in learning how to play for real and maybe invest in a ukelele which they sell for prices ranging between 15000-3000. While learning how to play, just by looking at their wall filled with ukelele chords, you can actually figure out how to work with the strings. And maybe if you’re up for it, you can join their open mic sessions since they have a corner for their performances.
